I have been an educator for more than 3 decades. My work first began in the U.S. junior and senior high schools. Then, after a move to Paris, France, I taught at the American School of Paris and finally at a Liceo Scientifico near Milan, Italy. (I am fluent in Italian and French and believe that because of my 17 years in Europe, I bring an informed and unique voice to my current study abroad advising role.) Upon returning to the States in l990, I became a full time instructor and adjunct professor in the English Department and in the School of Education at DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois.
In l998, I founded Student Extended Experiences Consulting, an organization, which helps students, just like you, design GAP year, college sabbatical, and study abroad experiences. These opportunities would take you down different paths, but always paths of your choice. It’s in the process of exploring yourself that you grow, think differently, and define your academic path and your career goals.
